Featuring an electronic lock, the SentrySafe X055 is simple to set up and operate. Once you install four "AA" batteries (not included), you'll be able to program the safe to open using any two-to-eight-digit passcode that you choose. Red, yellow, and green LED lights guide you through the process.
Two override keys that will open the safe without use of the passcode are also included, so you're ensured access to your valuables even if you forget your code or if the batteries in the keypad run out.

If you just need a convenient and relatively secure place for prescriptions, jewelry, watches, or handguns that you can access quickly and easily, read on.I originally purchased the Honeywell 0.6 Cubic Foot safe, but returned it because the locking mechanism was junk. The Sentry is more expensive, but much better constructed and looks nicer, too. Also, unlike the Honeywell, you don't need to use a key in addition to the combination lock when you open the safe. Just enter your combination and turn the latch. There is an emergency override key that only needs to be used if the batteries go dead. The safe is pre-drilled so it can be bolted from the bottom or back (or both). Due to its small size and light weight, this safe should definitely be bolted to something -- it would be way too easy for someone to carry off. As mentioned in another review, it may... Its got a pretty heavy door which is probably thanks to the two deadlocks its got to prevent entry. you can screw it to something (though i would recommend stripping the screws to really secure it. you can always get something at home depot in case you need to move it) It is also just the perfect size; you can fit just about anything that needs to be kept safe in here. The only thing that could make this product better is providing a shelf, but im not complaining. This is a great safe.
