I do not suggest using this furniture for a child's room. We bought the collection (two twin beds, the 5 drawer dresser and another dresser) for our sons' room. My oldest son is 4 1/2. This morning he jerked the top drawer open on the 5 drawer dresser, and the front of the drawer came off in his hand, sending the rest of dresser down on top of him.
